Traditional Turkish Barbering · Gray's Inn Road, London
Where Every Cut Is a Craft
Step into Hairsta Barbers and leave looking — and feeling — exactly as you should. Precision cuts, hot towel rituals, and the kind of attention to detail that keeps clients travelling across London.
A Chair You'll Want to Return To
Hairsta Barbers is not just a haircut — it is a considered ritual from the first consultation to the final mirror check.
Rooted in the proud tradition of Turkish barbering, Hairsta has made its home on Gray's Inn Road in the heart of London. Our barbers — led by Mustafa, whom clients have called the greatest barber in London — bring an old-world dedication to craft into a clean, welcoming, modern space. Every visit begins with a conversation. We listen, we shape, we blend with patience and precision. The hot towel, the straight razor, the careful finish — these are not extras here. They are the standard. Whether it is your first time in a traditional Turkish barber's chair or you have been coming for years, you will leave feeling looked after in a way that is increasingly rare.
What Our Clients Say
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and professional. The staff were friendly and attentive, taking the time to understand exactly what I wanted. An outstanding experience — I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Absolutely top-notch from start to finish. This is what craftsmanship looks like. The haircut was meticulous, with real attention to detail — and the hot towel treatment was the perfect finish. I'll be back without question.
The barber Mus showed nothing but professionalism throughout. The cut was precise and on point — you can tell he has a genuine passion for it. The shop was clean, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service was exceptional.
It was my first time in a traditional Turkish barbershop and I really enjoyed the experience. Another client told me he travels from afar just to see Mustafa — in his view, the greatest barber in London. I can see why.
Questions Before You Visit
Everything you need to know before you take a seat.
Do I need to book in advance?
Walk-ins are always welcome at Hairsta Barbers. That said, booking ahead guarantees your preferred time and barber — particularly on Fridays and Saturdays when we're at our busiest.
What is a traditional Turkish hot towel shave?
It's the centrepiece of our craft. A warm towel softens the skin and opens the pores, followed by a premium shaving cream application and a straight razor shave — close, smooth, and deeply relaxing. It's an experience, not just a service.
Can I request a specific barber?
Absolutely. Many of our clients come specifically to see Mustafa or one of our other barbers. Just mention your preference when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
How long does a typical visit take?
A classic haircut takes around 30–45 minutes. The Full Turkish Experience, including hot towel shave and head massage, typically takes 60–75 minutes. We never rush.
Where are you located and is there parking nearby?
We're at 244 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1X 8JR — a short walk from King's Cross St. Pancras and Chancery Lane stations. Street parking is available on surrounding roads.
Are you open on Sundays?
We're closed on Sundays. You can find us Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
